A suspected fraudulent scheme was carried out in the name of the Department of Environmental Supervision
On August 19, 2026, citizens received SMS messages informing them that fines had allegedly been imposed on their motor vehicles. The messages contained a link leading to a suspected fraudulent website - https://ge-polic-des.eu.cc/ge - displaying the former logo of the Department of Environmental Supervision, as well as information regarding the consequences of an unpaid fine. The website also provides an option to make a payment by entering standard bank card details. The Department of Environmental Supervision urges citizens not to fall victim to the suspected fraudulent scheme, which may be intended to obtain money fraudulently. In case of receiving a similar message, citizens are advised not to access the website indicated in the message.
The Department of Environmental Supervision has forwarded the relevant materials to the appropriate authorities for further response.
