The Department of Environmental Supervision Tightens Controls During the Hunting Season
The hunting season for migratory birds opens on August 22.
The Department of Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture will carry out strict, 24-hour monitoring across the country throughout the hunting season to prevent, suppress, and detect cases of illegal hunting.
Anyone wishing to hunt migratory birds must pay the fee for taking migratory birds from the environment (GEL 10) before hunting. The fee can be paid at any bank in Georgia. The recipient bank is the State Treasury; bank code: 220 101 222; account number: №200122900; treasury code for identifying the type of budget revenue: 3033.
The hunting season will continue until March 1 of the following year.
The Department of Environmental Supervision calls on citizens to strictly comply with the law. In case of any violation, citizens are urged to call the hotline of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture at 153 (no area code is required; the call is free of charge and anonymity is guaranteed), so that the relevant regional division of the Department can respond immediately.
