Analytical Service

Tasks of the Analytical Service

 

a) To facilitate the organization of state control, including the preparation of a draft annual inspection plan based on state control priorities and the assessment of inspection risks, and to monitor the implementation of the approved plan;

b) In accordance with the competencies of the Department, to record, systematize and analyze violations identified in the fields of environmental protection and the use of natural resources, and to coordinate the activities of territorial bodies in this regard;

c) To prepare information and analytical bulletins (reports) on identified violations;

d) In accordance with the procedure established by law, to submit and/or request information on violations identified in the fields of environmental protection and the use of natural resources from the Unified Information Bank for the Registration of Administrative Offences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia;

e) To develop proposals and recommendations aimed at preventing violations in the fields of environmental protection and the use of natural resources;

f) Within the scope of its competence, to ensure the review of applications, complaints and letters and/or participate in their review;

g) To participate in the implementation of measures aimed at facilitating compliance with legislation;

h) To organize the preparation of reports on the activities carried out by the Department;

i) Within the scope of the Department’s competence, to participate in the management of electronic information systems operating within the Ministry’s system;

j) To develop proposals, within the scope of its competence, to ensure access of Department employees to electronic information systems and provide them with methodological assistance;

k) To participate in the preparation of methodological, guidance and strategic documents in the field of state control;

l) To prepare a report related to the process of selecting regulated entities when drafting the inspection plan for regulated entities to be inspected by the Department;

m) At the end of each calendar year, to submit a report to the Head of the Department on the activities carried out;

n) To perform other tasks provided for by the legislation of Georgia within the scope of its competence.
